Taking Care of Business (27 Mannequins Production)

So Sunday finally came and went and the fashion show went off without any problems!  The runway was covered in PowerPoint slides and graphs. At the end of the runway was a working elevator door equipped with the signature ding. As each model entered and exited the runway the elevator doors opened and closed with a ding.

The guests were greeted by two lovely receptionist and from there they were seated were they found manila envelopes that were filled with goodies.  The fashion show started off with two MC's welcoming everyone to their business seminar featuring business wear.

So if your reading this I'm assuming you are also a fashion lover, maybe one looking for a job? If so there is a great event my promotions class is putting on for Ball State University's Career Center. It's a fashion show! This fashion show is to showcase the proper way to dress for interview, everyday office, and after hours.  So if you are free Sunday November 7th at 1:00pm come to Cardinal Hall at the Student Center for some fashion, food, and fun!

Reckless Fashion

Taylor Momsen the lead singer of Pretty Reckless has had quite the impact on recent fashion trends despite all the fuss about her provocative style.  Staying true to her bands mix between rock and grunge Taylor is constantly photographed in leather, ripped up tights, thigh highs held up by suspenders, and corset dresses.  Although not everyone agrees I think she is pretty fabulous with her I don’t care attitude and style that resembles 90’s grunge.

Spring 2011 Ready-To-Wear (Donna Karan)

Wind, water, and rocks the theme to Donna Karan’s Spring RTW collection of course. Do you think she nailed it? I'd have to say YES! This collection did a wonderful job of embracing a romantic quality that seemed so pure and natural. These garments did a great job at making the body seem long and lean with slip like qualities; while at the same time portraying a natural effortless beauty with all the wrinkles/crinkles and soft colors.
